Marta Volnie

Marta VolnieMs. Volnié is a senior associate of Executive Development Interactive (EDI) since 1989. Marta also has a private practice in Organizational Development as MV Consultores in Mexico. Her competencies include designing and implementing customized training programs for all levels in the organization, managing reengineering processes, implementing change, managing strategic issues and OD processes.

Prior to her consulting practice, Ms. Volnié held executive positions for more than 15 years in Mexico, in Xerox, American Express, General Electric, Grupo Desc and Banamex, with responsibilities for executive and supervisory development and training programs, union relations, quality programs, designing compensation-evaluation instruments and programs, career management systems, designing 360º feedback instruments, as well as customizing corporate programs.

Marta has done consulting projects in Mexico with Christianson Chemicals (Petrochemical), Camino Real (Hotel), Aeroméxico (Airline); Citibank, Banamex and Bancomer (Banks), Gigante (Retail), Union Carbide, General Electric Medical Systems, Grupo Kneeland (Manufacturing), IBM. And globally with Revlon, GTE, Teletech, Mercedes Benz, Avianca, Pfizer, GE, Citibank.

Ms. Volnié activities with EDI include delivering programs and managing cross-functional, multi-level, multi-cultural groups in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and Spain, both in English and Spanish.

Marta's design and instruction experience includes seminars on teambuilding, problem solving, quality tools, management skills, leadership, implementing change, as well as workshops on customer service, selling and marketing techniques, finance, using different training techniques -classroom, computer based, self training-. She is a certified trainer for Situational Leadership, LIFO, Achieve Global. Her experience also includes employee surveys, conducting focus groups, assessing training needs, designing performance and measuring systems, as well as recruitment and selection processes.

Marta has conducted reengineering efforts for different clients, managing the design and implementation teams, achieving performing (cycle time, quality, etc.) and financial objectives, as well as establishing the necessary human and systems infrastructure to support the performance and success of the designed processes. She has co-facilitated change efforts using the work-out model and tools, as well as the ACT methodology, introducing people to the model and tools, managing the multi-level, cross-functional groups and helping the managing group to achieve the desired results.

Ms. Volnié has a BS in Psychology -graduated with honors- and a MA in Psychological research from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish (native) and English, and has studied French.
