Internal Revenue Service Brazil

A regional office of the Brazilian IRS was facing several massive challenges: tax evasion, uncollected taxes, delays in response to the public and a new management team.

Five sessions of the Leadership of Change process were conducted. Each key IRS area hosted a session. They provided half of the participants and invited the remaining half from all other areas where they interacted. The IRS Regional Secretary, (the client), was present at all of them and supported only the projects he considered key to his vision of the organization. These projects became the core of a master plan for changing the organization in record time and became a model for other government entities.
